Justin’s New Role

McLaren Lute, Reporter, Equipment Manager

1. What Does a typical day look like for you at Howe Schools?

A. I start my mornings off by making a quick stop at the fuel pumps that we have at Ron’s. I just check for leaks, bad hoses and anything that could cause a problem or spill.

2. What do you enjoy about working at Howe Schools?

A. I graduated from Howe, so it’s kinda neat to see the ins and outs of things that go on behind the scenes.

3. What experience do you have from working at your previous jobs?

A. I was in the oilfield for 15 years, so there are many experiences that I have from that line of work. Understanding how to manage relationships, logistics of jobs, and being able to trouble shoot have helped me.

4. What made you want to take this job?

A. Like I previously stated, graduated from Howe and have always wanted to be here in some sort of capacity.

5. What has been the most challenging part about your job?

A. Remembering who everyone is and where everything is.

6. What has been the most enjoyable part of your job.

A. I’d say being able to help coach the baseball boys and see the progress that they are showing on the field has been pretty awesome.

7. What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

A. Hunting and playing softball.

8. What are your job responsibilities?

A. When I’m not helping with baseball I check fuel pumps and do things around the school that need attended to.

9. What skills did you learn in High School that have helped you prepare for this position?

A. Being able to be a leader in athletics really helped in everyday life as well as all of my jobs.
